Join me as we have fun with our dogs, and then paddle along with the Dog Paddlers—a dragon boat team in Victoria, Canada. You'll meet my Silky Terriers—Abby, Zack, Sami and Gemma—and their feline sister, Bridget. Share with us the joys and challenges of strengthening the human-canine bond as we participate with our dogs in canine agility, trailwalks and canine freestyle.

RUN FOR THE CURE


On Sunday, September 29th, a small band of of us braved the wind and rain to take part in the Victoria edition of the CIBC Run for the Cure. Our participation was to honour our friend Cathy Slipec, who lost her battle with breast cancer last Spring.

The Run took place at the University of Victoria, following a 5 km route around the campus. I'm not sure of the total number of people who participated, but it was at least in excess of 4600 (as that was the highest bib number I spotted during the morning).
