A PENCHANT FOR PIRATES

The Island Dog Sports gang headed out to Shannick Farm on Sunday for our second go-round at a fun trial. Like the snowy one in December, it was put on by the good pirate folk of ScallyWaggs. (The fine fellow to the left is Scabby Pete, their mascot.) Their Spring Scamper was another fun experience, with a little bit of friendly advice thrown in for us novices. Our experience at these two fun trials has given us (well, some of us) enough confidence to give a REAL trial a whirl. Emma and Swift rocked! Abby sniffed and munched her way around the course. Switch did his runs with a little nip here, a little nip there. George will show you his bruises. Zack got a pretend "Q" in Tunnelers. Betty did a very good job. Joe was his usual bouncy tail-wagging self and did great. Pecos kept Ann on her toes, and put on a fine show too. Well done, everyone! I uploaded a bunch of videos to YouTube. Just wander on over there and search on "Spring Scamper" and they should all come up.
