SCALLYWAGGING

Day 2 of the ScallyWaggs NADAC Agility trial out at the Saanich Fairgrounds. Swift, Emma and Joe all were sporting purple by the end of the day. Purple for a Q ribbon, that is. Congratulations to our IDS agility stars! Abby and Zack did OK, but had no really stellar runs—although Zack came close on his Jumpers run. He ran clean, but was just a tad too slow to get in under the time allowed. Abby...well, Abby ran not too badly over all, but she finished the day with a scatterbrained outing in which she started off fine, but then went to visit the timers, then the judge, and then finally put a great big E for elimination on her scoresheet by deciding to have a pee in the middle of her run. Well, at least she keeps me guessing as to what she'll do next. Life is never dull with Abby!

The weather was sunny but not overpoweringly hot. I'm sure we'll all have a touch of sunburn to contend with. Tomorrow's forecast? A 60% chance of showers in the late morning through the afternoon. Not as bad as was originally forecast (heavy rain), so we'll keep our fingers crossed that it won't be a downpour on Sunday.

Peni and George check the run list.

Swift takes off.

Betty puts in an appearance.

Betty thinks that she has this tunnel thing figured out!

Here comes Emma....

The dynamic duo take another jump in stride.

That's it. Get that paw on the contact!

Hello, Joe!

Yippee!

Peni wants one of these little guys....
