We've all lost a wonderful furry friend this week. Chinook has passed over the Rainbow Bridge to romp and play with his canine buddies who have gone on before—Monty, Finnegan, Sweep, Molly, Slick and Poutine.
Chinook—aka the BIG GUY—has always been the gentle giant of the group. A crowd favourite at our agility demos; a shoreline dabbler on our visits to seashore and lakeside; a big goofy boy with lots of love in his heart.
As the Horels have said, he was the reason that we all came to meet. Chinook brought them to Peni so that they could learn how to behave....er...how to handle him. But I'm sure he saw it the other way around!
We'll all miss Chinook....the trails will all seem a little emptier now; and Abby won't have her 'from the tall to the small' companion in the agility demo line-up. But it's great that at our last demo at Beaver Lake in September, Chinook got to play at agility one last time.
Happy Trails, Chinook...until we meet again.
