CGDB DEMO

Sunday morning at Beaver Lake was probably our last agility demo of the season. We provided a good performance for the Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind event being held there. There was great publicity for this event in the weeks leading up to it, and Island Dog Sports was regularly mentioned in the promotional material. Although there wasn't a huge crowd there, it was a good-sized crowd—and a much larger audience than we had last year. We also had several inquiries about agility classes from onlookers, so hopefully that will translate into some new folks at the October classes.

There were a couple of members of the media there taking video and pictures of the dogs in action. We're pretty sure that Swift will be in the Times Colonist tomorrow...the photographer seemed to think that it was pretty much a sure thing that the picture he took of Swift doing the weave poles would make it in. Joe might also be in the running for a little celebrity status as well. On the video side of things, Brianna and Emma caught the eye of the cameraman, so they too may have their 15 seconds of fame. Unfortunately, we don't know which TV station he was shooting for....so we may never know if the dynamic duo made it to air.

Pecos needs a guide dog to get him out of the chute.

Wild Thing!

Peni and Switch demonstrate the power of teamwork.
