SOAKED SILKIES

The title of this post says it all: these are two very wet little Silkies! For a change, I didn't take my camera when we went on one of our rare walks down to Witty's Lagoon. The dogs all have a great time on this walk, as we time it to go on days when the tide is way out and they can run in and out of the water and along great stretches of sand beach. You can imagine the fun we had when we got home, getting all the sand and salt out of their coats. They had very long baths! Zack also, after having lapped up half the ocean in spite of my telling him "don't drink the salt water", upchucked in the car at some point. That meant another half hour or so of cleaning up the back seat to add to the day's chores.

Without my camera in hand, I just played with the dogs, tossing things out into the water for them to retrieve. Ann got this great shot of Abby and Zack waiting in great anticipation for me to throw a clam shell.
