The IDS crew put on a very credible showing at the ScallyWaggs agility trial this weekend. As mentioned in the previous blog posting from yesterday, Zack and Emma had earned titles on Saturday. Well—by end of day Sunday, Swift had racked up FOUR titles. And Miss Betty had racked up at least one, plus lots of Qs and First Place ribbons. Emma is now having to look in her rear view mirror as Swift and Betty vie for her Q-ing crown. Pecos also racked up a bunch more purple-and-black Q ribbons for Ann to decorate her office with.
Zack picked up 3 Qs on Sunday—one in Touch and Go, and two more in Tunnelers. Abby continues to get better and better, running clean more often than not now, but still can't make it around the course in the time allowed. But as mentioned in the last posting, success for Abby is completing the course. Ditto for Switch....who is still dreaming of a Q, and getting closer to it with each run he does.
Lorri came out to support us today...and we even talked her into running Mylo in the free tunnelers run at the end of the day (for dogs that weren't registered for the trial). She and Mylo did just great. A tunnelers course was just the thing for Mylo...tunnels are something he likes to do, and he got to run fast. The course kept Lorri on her toes, thinking ahead to the next tunnel. They made a great team. Maybe by the next ScallyWaggs fun trial, we'll be able to coax them to sign up for some runs.
Thanks again to the great folks from ScallyWaggs who put on such great NADAC events. We're truly blessed to have them organizing these here in Victoria. They picked another wonderful and encouraging judge—Jeff can come back out here from Wisconsin anytime!
Oh...and Brianna's decorating efforts (see picture below) paid off. She won the best-decorated crate prize!
