TRAILBLAZING

Well, finallly. Sami got to go out with the Trailblazers. Today was his very first outing with the gang. When I first got Sami, we had other Saturday commitments for about a month, then Sami still couldn't go because he hadn't had his last set of puppy shots, and then it was because he was ill. So today was a big milestone for him.

It was a bit chilly and windy at Island View, but I put two layers on each of the dogs, and hoped that would keep them all toasty warm, as long as they kept moving. It wasn't a long walk, so Sami was able to do the entire thing. He had a great time. Tail up, checking out all the great smells, checking out all the other dogs (and vice versa, of course). You'd think he'd been a Trailblazer for months rather than this being his first time out.
Zack shows Sami how it's done as they catch up to Pia and Lynn.

The three amigos check out a particularly interesting scent.

Sami blended in with the trail surface; he was sometimes very difficult to keep track of!

Hey! Where's all the snow you've been boasting/lamenting about??? The snowbank at the end of our driveway is 'way over my head (your cousin Anthony has a good reach with the shovel).

Your Achilles buddy enjoys walks too, especially off-leash. He covers more ground per minute than I can in a lifetime!

OOOOO! Speaking of whom, I hope to be able to send you a photo of 'my' dog soon, holding on to his Christmas present.

Much love to all you trail walkers!

Cousin Laurie

Love your blog! Can I ask what layout or template you use? It's so simple and easy to read.

Hi Lynne ...

I think it's the template called "Rounders 2", and then I adjusted some of the colours, etc., so it's not quite the same as it was shown on the template. But the basic elements are the same.
