JOURNEYING NORTH

Well it wasn't very far north, just up to Mill Bay. I nipped up there on Saturday afternoon to connect with Heather, to pick up a few boxes of Maple Leaf Silky Terrier Club stuff. For some peculiar reason, I volunteered to take over the job of club secretary from her. What was I thinking? Oh well. She certainly deserves a break; she's been doing that job for over a decade, I think.

What's Gemma watching?

She's watching dogs on the agility course, up behind the main arena building at the Kerry Park Recreation Centre. Heather sets up a lovely little "compound" each year, off of her van, strategically parked with a ring-side view of the agility goings-on. The dogs can just hang out, lie in the sun or shade, and never miss a piece of the action.

Heather, Gemma and Harta lounge around in the shade.

Heather's thinking that maybe Harta wouldn't mind if a new Silky joined the family. Now she just needs to talk her husband into it.

Harta struts his stuff on the agility course,
making quick work of the weave poles.
